Negotiator for Contract Transfers and Terminations

Carbon Solutions Group is looking for an experienced REC Contract Negotiator to manage the transfer and termination processes of various contracts. This role requires someone skilled in handling complex negotiations and high-stress communications, ideally with a background in fields involving significant client interactions and contract management. The successful candidate will work to meet the needs of all parties, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and managing expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Negotiation and Contract Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for involved parties, such as clients, agents, and third-party stakeholders, in contract transfers or terminations.
  • Negotiate terms that balance company objectives and client concerns with strategic and clear communication.
  • Explain regulatory and contractual obligations, ensuring understanding and alignment among all parties.
  • Work with internal and external teams to ensure smooth transitions and resolve any issues during negotiations.

Outcome Management:

  • Identify optimal solutions for contract transfers or terminations, adjusting tactics to prioritize company impact and client needs.
  • Engage non-cooperative parties and escalate as needed to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Client Relations and Emotional Intelligence:

  • Utilize empathy and active listening to manage high-stress situations and build trust.
  • Maintain professionalism under pressure, offering solutions and clear communication.

Experience and Skills:

  • 5-10 years in negotiations or complex communications.
  • Track record of managing escalated negotiations.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle complex processes and balance diverse interests.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in fields like real estate, land management, or contract negotiation.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
