Location: Harmony, MN (projects are within 1.5 hours from the shop in Harmony)

Salary: Based on Experience 

Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30am-5:30pm

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on Superintendent to lead our field operations. This person will oversee plow and drill crews, drive safety and quality, manage daily schedules, mentor

foremen, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget. The Superintendent will partner closely with the leadership team to keep staffing, materials, and

workflow on track. This role is key to helping our company grow by taking on critical responsibilities and providing strong, steady leadership to our field teams.

  • Crews have the direction, resources, and mentorship they need to succeed.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coordinate, and hold accountable plow and drill crews on multiple job sites.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, enforce OSHA and company safety standards, and ensure crews are operating safely at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, administrators, foremen, and crews on schedules, priorities, and job progress.
  • Oversee daily/weekly production reporting, job cost tracking, and schedule management. 
  • Ensure quality control, proper installation, and compliance with project specifications. 
  • Manage equipment and material needs: coordinate usage, schedule maintenance, and track supplies. 
  • Mentor and develop foremen and crew members, providing training and feedback to grow team effectiveness.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance discussions for field staff.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
  • Jump in as a hands-on leader when needed to keep projects moving.

Requirements:

  • “I will attack this problem” mindset with a proactive, solutions-driven approach.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in underground utilities, fiber optics, or related construction.
  • Strong knowledge of underground utility power and fiber systems, prints, and construction processes.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple crews, manage schedules, and track production.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • OSHA and safety compliance knowledge.
  • Tech proficiency (email, Excel/Google Sheets; project management software a plus).
  • CDL (preferred) and reliable transportation (required)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of outdoor construction work.
