Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Salary Range:  $27 - $30 hour

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will play a key role in managing the flow of products into and out of our warehouse. You’ll ensure that all shipments are received and processed correctly, orders are packed and shipped on time, and inventory is accurately tracked. The role requires someone with strong organizational skills, a focus on detail, and the ability to handle various warehouse tasks.

Key Responsibilities:


    Receiving Shipments: Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips. Report any discrepancies or damages to management.

    Inventory Management: Accurately record and update inventory data, ensuring the proper storage of received products in designated areas.

    Shipping Orders: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring items are properly labeled and packaged to prevent damage during transit.

    Documentation: Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, including tracking numbers, shipping labels, and delivery receipts.

    Quality Control: Inspect goods for damage or defects and work with vendors or suppliers to address any issues.

    Coordination: Communicate with internal teams (e.g., warehouse, purchasing, customer service) to coordinate order processing and resolve any issues.

    Compliance: Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in accordance with company standards and regulations.

    Reporting: Assist with inventory audits, track shipments, and prepare reports on incoming and outgoing goods.


Qualifications:


    Experience: Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred.

    Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment and inventory tracking.

    Technical Skills: Basic computer skills and experience with shipping software, inventory management systems, or warehouse tools is a plus.

    Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, vendors, and customers.

    Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and resolve them in a timely manner, whether related to shipments, inventory, or documentation.

    Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when necessary.
