Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide thorough dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planning services.
  • Deliver both basic and advanced dental hygiene treatment and home care advice to patients.
  • Take diagnostic-quality dental X-rays in accordance with clinic protocols.
  • Administer local anesthetics as per the prescribed standards.
  • Develop and propose personalized hygiene treatment plans.
  • Efficiently schedule patient recare visits and manage the follow-ups for their own caseload.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of dental treatment rooms.
  • Sterilize instruments and manage the inventory of dental supplies in their designated rooms.

Requirements

  • Valid dental hygienist licensure in the state of operation.
  • Excellent working knowledge of overall dentistry and dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation.
  • Experience with digital radiography and proficient in taking X-rays.
  • Skilled in the use of dental management software.
  • Ability to work independently without the assistance of a dental assistant.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients and other team members.
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ensuring that all clinical protocols are followed meticulously.
