About TraLo!

TraLo Inc. is a family-owned transportation company based in Owatonna, Minnesota, specializing in freight and logistics solutions across the U.S. and Canada. Known for handling oversized and specialty loads, we pride ourselves on delivering service that is rooted in safety, efficiency, and reliability. Our team thrives in a collaborative, professional environment where personal growth and operational excellence go hand in hand.

About the Role:

We are searching for a Dispatcher who not only thrives in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment but also brings deep knowledge of logistics operations and transportation safety standards. This role is at the heart of our business — ensuring that drivers, routes, and deliveries are not only efficient but compliant with industry safety practices. The right candidate will know how to balance both the clock and the rulebook, while maintaining clear and professional communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate and Schedule Shipments: Plan, assign, and dispatch loads, optimizing routes and driver assignments while prioritizing both delivery timelines and safety regulations.

  • Maintain Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between drivers, customers, and suppliers, relaying shipment details and updates as needed.

  • Monitor Shipments: Track the status of shipments to ensure on-time delivery and address any issues that may arise during transit.

  • Ensure Compliance: Review drivers' logs and maintain records to ensure adherence to state and federal transportation regulations.

  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues or emergencies that occur during transit to minimize delays and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • After-Hours Commitment: Participate in the on-call rotation - on call availability for one week every 3 weeks

What You'll Need:

  • Previous experience in dispatching or logistics strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of transportation safety regulations and compliance.

  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with drivers, clients, and team members.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with TMS software; McLeod experience preferred.

  • Quick problem-solving skills and decision-making under pressure.

  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance.

  • Resilience, patience, and the ability to work with diverse personalities.
