We are a highly-trained office that treats our patients comprehensively be it through amazing general dentistry, cosmetics, reconstructions, implants, Invisalign and sleep dentistry. We schedule 60 minutes for our hygiene re-care patients, allowing you plenty of time to provide excellent patient care. The role of the Dental Hygienist at our clinic involves a variety of responsibilities centered around patient care and education. By joining our team, you will contribute directly to the oral health and well-being of our patients, making a significant impact on their overall health. This role requires a professional who is not only skilled and knowledgeable in dental practices but also has a compassionate approach to patient care.
Duties include:
- Perform thorough teeth cleanings, including scaling and polishing.
- Conduct oral health assessments and screen for signs of oral diseases.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
- Take x-rays and digital scans to identify oral health issues
- Apply hydroxyapatite treatments to protect teeth.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document care provided.
- Assist dentists during procedures as needed.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
- Provide guidance on post-treatment care and follow-up instructions.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies.
- Collaborate with the dentist on treatment plans and dental recommendations
- Explain post-procedure instructions clearly to patients
- Update electronic health records with accuracy and attention to detail
- Anesthetize patients as necessary
The ideal candidate:
- Has an active dental hygienist license and 2+ years experience
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
- Certification in CPR and basic life support (BLS).
- Proficiency in using dental equipment and tools, including X-ray machines and ultrasonic scalers.
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and oral health education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Attention to detail and precision in performing dental hygiene tasks.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
- Local Anesthesia Certification
