Associate Dentist

Salary Range:  $650 - $1000 day

Pietropola and Associates Dentistry is a busy, up-to-date tech private 8 op dental office that is patient-centered looking to expand. We have a great staff and offer a competitive base salary with lots of potential for growth based on productivity for right candidate. Our office has been providing care for the community for over 40 years. Ideal candidate dentist would be full time, with some experience and looking to reside in the area long term.  Willing to mentor and offer a lot of flexibility.  No evenings or weekends required.  We are located 90 minutes from Philly and 60 minutes from Baltimore. Long-term commitment desired and potential for buy-in exists if so desired.  

To succeed as a Dentist, you must be experienced in diagnosing and treating dental illnesses, infections, and conditions as well as using various tools and equipment. Our ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, and a good communicator who can work well under pressure.

Dentist Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Examine patients’ medical records and diagnose dental illnesses or infections

  • Prepare patients for treatment (e.g., by applying oral sedation or anesthesia)

  • Identify tooth decay and replace cavities with fillings

  • Design and fit dental prosthetics, such as bridges, crowns, and dentures

  • Conduct tooth extractions and root canal procedures

  • Perform surgeries on diseased tissues and bones

  • Prescribe medication as needed

  • Promote good oral health and preventive dental care (e.g., by scheduling regular check-ups)

  • Develop treatment plans to improve patients’ oral health and habits

Dentist Requirements:

  • PA State DDS license

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

  • A pleasant and compassionate personality with the ability to make patients feel comfortable

  • Experience with surgeries and tooth extractions

  • Experience with dental equipment and tools

  • In-depth understanding of oral hygiene and dental procedures

  • Working experience in diagnosing illnesses and treating them

  • Ability to communicate with patients about their oral health and problems

  • Compassion and patience

  • Strong attention to detail
