We are currently looking for a qualified Dental Hygienist to join our team. We value quality over quantity. Our hygienist are given 45min to an 1hour with each patient. This ensures that you are able to provide a relaxing, positive, educational experience for our patients. Each patient room has windows, patient Tv's, and over head music which provide for a great atmosphere for both our employees and the patients. Current position is part time - We are a growing practice and as we expand, more hours will become available.

  • Once a week. Day of the week(TBD)

There is potential to grow with us and add more days during the week/weekend.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Dental Hygienist performs a variety of patient care, office, such as assessing the dental condition and needs of patients, taking vital signs and documenting/reviewing medical history, performing routine treatments (such as cleaning and polishing), and applying sealants and fluorides. He or she instructs patients on postoperative and general oral health care, takes dental x-rays, turn over rooms. 

Candidates must have a pleasant and courteous personality, strong computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with dental practice management software is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assesses dental condition and needs of patient using appropriate screening procedures, including medical history review and dental charting
  • Performs routine treatment procedures, such as cleaning and polishing, periodontal charting, digital radiographs, intraoral photos
  • Applies sealants, fluorides, Arestin
  • Makes impressions of patients' teeth for study casts
  • Digital Notes and Charting
  • Helps manage patient records, including obtaining dental records, questioning patients about their medical history, and recording the information for the dentist’s reference
  • Advises patients on dental care and helps make patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Current license or certification to practice in this state
  • Two years of experience is preferred but not mandatory 
  • Highly professional and dependable
  • Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, staff, vendors, and others
  • Strong computer and internet skills
  • Experience with dental practice management software a plus
  • Current CPR certification a plus
