Homemaker/Companion - Per Diem - Join the Sterling Care Team!

Salary Range:  $17.00 - $20.00 hour

Sterling Care, one of the oldest and highest-rated concierge homemaker and companion agencies in Lower Fairfield County, Connecticut, is looking for compassionate, detail-oriented homemakers and companions to support our older adult clients in the comfort of their homes. Pay Range: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour (based on experience, client needs, and shift details)

Shift Requirements: Must be able to commit to at least three shifts of 6+ hours or three live-in days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, bathing, dressing, toileting, and transfers.

•    Help with meal preparation and feeding assistance.

•    Provide companionship and engage in social activities to enhance clients' well-being.

•    Offer medication reminders and ensure clients follow prescribed routines.

•    Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry and maintaining a tidy environment.

•    Accompany clients to appointments, social activities, and outings.

Job Requirements:

•    Ability to lift/transfer clients between 125 to 195 lbs.

•    Must be at least 18 years of age.

•    Legal authorization to work in the United States.

•    Reliable transportation to work is required; a valid driver’s license is preferred.

•    Experience with Alzheimer’s or Dementia care is a plus.

Job Qualifications:

•    CNA, PCA or HHA Certificate with at least 1 year of full-time equivalent experience required.

•    Homemaker/Companion experience with 3+ years of full-time equivalent experience required.
