As a Vehicle Technician at Ryan Auto Mall, your primary focus will be on inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles to ensure their optimal functionality. This role is pivotal in sustaining our reputation for delivering top-notch client satisfaction through exceptional technical service. The position is full-time and requires physical presence at our well-equipped facility; it is not a remote job.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotations.
• Inspect various systems within vehicles to diagnose underlying issues using both manual tools and technological devices.
• Repair or replace vehicle parts such as brakes, steering systems, transmissions, and other potentially faulty components.
• Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance services to prepare new, used, and serviced vehicles for delivery or return to clients.
• Adhere to all company policies, local, and federal regulations relating to vehicle maintenance and safety.
• Collaborate with other technicians and staff to facilitate an integrated approach to automobile servicing.
• Assist in maintaining an organized, clean service area and keep track of inventory and necessary supplies.
• Interpret and follow the technical instructions and diagrams presented in manufacturer manuals and schematics.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding their repair needs and maintenance queries.
• Continuously update job knowledge through participation in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role.
• Technical degree or certification in Automotive Engineering, or related field.
• Deep understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
• Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment.
• Willingness to engage in physical tasks and work in potentially hazardous environments.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues in plain language.
