About the Role:
The Lead Dental Assistant will take on both clinical and administrative responsibilities, helping to create a seamless, positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors. You’ll support our office’s daily operations while working closely with management to ensure the entire team is performing at its best.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exceptional Patient Care: Provide top-notch customer service, ensuring each patient feels welcomed, comfortable, and informed throughout their visit. You’ll be instrumental in creating a positive patient experience that aligns with Smile Avenue’s commitment to care.
-Training & Team Leadership: Oversee the training and development of the clinical team, sharing your expertise and helping everyone grow in their roles. You’ll ensure that our staff is knowledgeable and consistently delivering quality care.
- Supply Management: Manage ordering and inventory for clinical supplies, ensuring our team has everything needed to serve our patients efficiently. You’ll keep track of stock, negotiate with suppliers, and work within budget to maintain smooth operations.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Creation: Collaborate with our location manager and director to create, update, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). SOPs are step-by-step instructions that help the team follow best practices and maintain consistency in patient care and office operations. As Lead Dental Assistant, you’ll help refine these guidelines to ensure every team member understands and follows them.
- Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Track and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), which are measurable goals used to evaluate the effectiveness of our clinic's operations. KPIs may include patient satisfaction scores, appointment wait times, treatment acceptance rates, and overall productivity metrics. By keeping an eye on these KPIs, you’ll help ensure the clinic is meeting its goals and continually improving.
- Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Support budget management by working within set guidelines for ordering supplies, keeping costs under control, and making sure resources are used effectively. You’ll also be involved in tracking expenses, providing insights for efficient budgeting, and maintaining the practice’s financial health.
