We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at our clinic in Hallandale, Florida. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and providing high-quality care to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and other pertinent patient information.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure that they are clean, stocked, and organized.
- Perform basic laboratory tests such as blood draws, urinalysis, and EKGs.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Assist with patient education and provide instructions on medications, treatments, and procedures.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, assisting with front desk and maintaining patient records.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and clinic policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Always maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required.
Compensation:
·$18.00 to $19.00 hourly
