About the Role:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform a variety of maintenance and project tasks under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities include, but aren't limited to, snow removal, general maintenance, floor replacement, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and asphalt/cement repair. Responsibilities:

• Maintain a service-oriented approach with a professional appearance and attitude.
• Assist in maintaining buildings, common areas, and grounds.
• Participate in snow removal and other weather-related emergency responses.
• Prepare apartments for move-in and complete resident work orders, including floor replacement, plumbing and electrical repairs/installations, HVAC maintenance/repair/replacement, minor carpet repair, carpentry, fixture/window treatment installation/repair, and cabinetry work.
• Participate in larger maintenance projects such as asphalt and cement repair, deck repair, and siding painting and repair.
• Participate in job and safety training, including HVAC and pool certifications.
• Maintain safe work practices and contribute to a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of tools, materials, methods, and practices used in apartment maintenance and projects.
• Experience operating power and manual tools.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work extended hours outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and move 60 pounds without restrictions.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and climb three flights of stairs regularly.
• Ability to maintain positive and professional relationships with prospects, residents, and coworkers.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient and professional use of electronic communication.

Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Hours: M-F 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM, snow removal when needed
