Barker Apartments is excited to announce an opening for a Full-Time Leasing Consultant position within our dedicated team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer phones, file documents, tour and lease apartments to prospective residents.
- Maintain positive relations with residents, ensuring outstanding customer service.
- Develop and update necessary office forms, letters, and notices, organize move-in files.
- Address and resolve minor resident concerns and issues, escalating more complex matters to the property manager as needed.
- Process 30-day notices, rental applications, leases, and manage move-in documentation.
- Write, process, and finalize work orders in Yardi after review by the Property Manager.
- Update and manage collections and court proceedings; actively track and work on collection accounts.
- Regularly inspect apartments and properties to ensure they meet our rigorous standards of cleanliness and upkeep.
- Participate in marketing activities to enhance property visibility and desirability.
- Carry out other duties as assigned within the scope of residential property management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in customer service-oriented roles, whether in retail, administrative positions, or similar environments.
- Strong teamwork capabilities with an emphasis on maintaining confidentiality and managing time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address client needs and company requirements.
- A motivated learner eager to acquire knowledge about the real estate and property management industry.
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs. without restriction.
- Ability to frequently stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, and walk distances and steps.
Compensation: $17/hour plus Rental Bonuses
