Location: West Lafayette, IN (in-office) and has 20% travel to other Granite locations in Bloomington, Indianapolis, and Blackbug. 

The Role:

The IT Specialist is a full-time position that provides Granite’s in-office and on-property technology support. The IT Specialist will have technical aptitude, support other departments in addressing their IT needs, communicate effectively with other departments and Granite tenants, and be reliable and comfortable with varying degrees of oversight. The position will require approximately 20% travel to Granite’s offices in Indianapolis, Bloomington, Blacksburg, VA and other regional sites.

A knowledge of macOS, iOS and Windows is essential for the IT Specialist.

Minimum qualifications: Associate's degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Administrative management of end-user software and systems (Google Suite, Microsoft 365, Appfolio, softphones, etc.)

• Make recommendations for purchasing end-user hardware (MacBooks, PCs, peripherals, check scanners, etc.)

  • Includes troubleshooting issues and providing solutions

• Manage networks and door access systems in Granite’s offices

• Manage networks, camera systems, and door access systems at managed, residential properties

  • Includes visiting properties to address tenant-submitted service requests

• Monitor IT email inbox and respond to employee and tenant inquiries as needed

• Develop and manage projects related to the expansion of technology systems, hardware and software

• Coordinate and oversee the service of third-party vendors as needed
