Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient examinations and compile detailed dental records.
- Diagnose and treat dental disorders affecting the teeth, gums, and mouth.
- Develop treatment plans to maintain or restore patients’ oral health.
- Perform dental procedures, such as extractions, fillings, root canals, and crowns efficiently and as per established dental standards.
- Prescribe medications as necessary, adhering to established guidelines.
- Provide education and guidance on oral health care and preventive measures to maintain healthy teeth and gums.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and foster a safe, positive, and supportive environment for patients.
- Supervise and mentor dental assistants and other supporting staff to ensure quality patient care.
- Stay updated with advances in dental practices and techniques to ensure modern and efficient care is provided to the patients.
- Manage dental emergencies proficiently.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited institution.
- Valid state license to practice dentistry and relevant certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental practice, with a strong foundation in general dentistry.
- Exceptional manual dexterity and precision to perform intricate dental procedures.
- Excellent diagnostic skills and proficiency in using modern dental equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
