Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage efficiently the front office duties including appointment scheduling, patient registration, and checkout procedures.
- Maintain patient records with high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and security.
- Administrate insurance processes including verification, claims, and patient billing.
- Coordinate patient care by acting as a liaison between patients, dentists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with dental care providers and discuss them with patients.
- Assist in the organization of office events and manage patient communication strategies.
- Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure the clinic environment remains clean and organized to promote health and safety regulations.
- Provide empathetic support and information to patients regarding their dental care procedures and concerns.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and place orders as necessary while adhering to budget constraints.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; associate degree in relevant field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Patient Care Coordinator or similar role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding and application of dental terminology and practices.
- Proficiency with dental office software, specifically Eaglesoft, FUSE, or CURVEHERO.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Exemplary customer service skills, ensuring a pleasant visit for each patient.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
