Job Description

Agave ATS is excited to announce an opening for a Construction Manager at our bustling Dallas, TX location. This role is ideal for those who excel in overseeing complex projects and ensuring top-notch quality control from inception to completion. As a Construction Manager, your primary responsibility will be to manage all aspects of construction projects, including working with a diverse team of professionals and ensuring all projects adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This is a full-time position and requires the candidate to be on-site as it is not a remote job. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in scheduling subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in the critical paths to ensure timely completion.
  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
  • Communicate and ensure coordination with ASI’s, RFI’s, addendums, and material submittals.
  • Ensure that the subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety and environmental quality standards.
  • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution.
  • Maintain a daily log (written documentation and photos) of activities on the job site.
  • Occasionally perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously.
  • Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by the project team.
  • Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
  • Lead onsite weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate and communicate the work.
  • Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality of work, scheduling, or safety.
  • Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
  • Perform job progress and completion punch list walks with the client identifying and completing incomplete items.
  • Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.
  • Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the jobsite.
  • Identify areas of work that are outside of subcontracted scope.
  • Lead a pre-construction meeting with each subcontractor before the work starts.
  • Open the job site at the beginning of the day and secure the job site at the end of the day.
  • Assist in hiring sub-tier employees (i.e., labor services, etc.).
  • Manage day-to-day operations and on-site project management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-7 years of experience in construction management/engineering projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully completing construction projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Procore project management software.
  • The physical environment requires the employee to work on-site in a construction environment.
  • The employee must have the ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
