Foreman Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor and coordinate daily tasks, projects, and activities
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to crew members
- Provide appropriate resources, equipment, and supplies for the job site
- Emphasize the safe and correct use of equipment and machinery
- Ensure adherence with local and state safety and health standards and regulations
- Create and maintain project schedules and establish deadlines
- Identify and resolve problems and mistakes when they arise
- Prepare progress reports and communicate them to the superintendent
- Ensure workers follow construction plans and blueprints
- Prepare surfaces and apply primers, paints, and finishes with precision.
- Mix and match paint colors accurately according to project specifications.
- Protect surrounding areas from paint damage using appropriate materials.
- Ensure quality by inspecting completed work and performing necessary touch-up
Foreman Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Previous working experience as a commercial painter
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Impeccable knowledge of safety laws and regulations and painting procedures
- Great organization and time management skills
- Ability to read and comprehend drawings and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Strong project management skills
