Johns Dental Lab, a leader in dental prosthetics has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Maintenance Worker to join our team. This position is tailored for someone who is prepared to excel in a fast-paced environment and ensure the efficiency of our daily operations. As our Maintenance Worker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our equipment, facilities, and grounds.
Duties and Responsibilities
Regularly inspect and perform scheduled maintenance on equipment, small appliances, and machines
Identify, diagnose, and repair mechanical and equipment issues
Perform repairs on equipment and infrastructure to prevent or minimize downtime
Installation of machines and equipment
Perform various landscaping tasks including mowing, tree trimming, and removal of snow/ice
Facility repairs such as painting, clearing drain obstructions, and emptying sink traps
Floor Care (mopping, scrapping, buffing, polishing)
Pest control
Document completed maintenance and provide updates on equipment status and maintenance schedules.
Plan, prioritize, and manage multiple maintenance projects simultaneously while adhering to strict timelines.
Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departments
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Driver's License
1 experience in maintenance in a laboratory or manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
Proficiency in the use of tools, devices, and equipment used in the maintenance
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals
High attention to detail, excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
Capability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Capable of effectively planning and prioritizing job tasks independently with minimal supervision
Strong physical stamina and dexterity, capable of lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces
Willingness to work overtime or on weekends during critical project phases or when emergency repairs are needed
Ability to adhere to safety protocols and regulations
Focus to work at a steady pace throughout the day
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Most work is done while on your feet.
Walking, bending and flexing arms, wrists, hands and fingers, grasping, and turning head and torso.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work will be done in a laboratory environment which may contain elements of airborne particles, fumes and gases, high density noise producing machinery and experience elevated temperatures resulting from equipment. Some work may be done outside where the individual is subjected to the elements or in confined spaces
