Dental Hygiene Assistant – Join Our Team!

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygiene Assistant to support our hygienists in providing exceptional patient care. This role is essential in maintaining efficiency and ensuring a seamless experience for both patients and providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms each morning, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are ready.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sterilization area.
• Assist hygienists with patient care, including perio charting, impressions, model pouring, and tray fabrication.
• Take and process X-rays and intraoral photos as needed.
• Ensure all treatment plans are accurately documented in patient charts and communicated to the front office.
• Escort patients to and from the treatment area, reinforcing oral health recommendations.
• Assist with scanning for Invisalign, night guards, and other digital impressions.
• Maintain patient safety by ensuring all protective eyewear and equipment are clean and in place.
• Monitor and manage hygiene inventory, placing orders as necessary.
• Support office operations by confirming appointments and assisting with scheduling recall visits.
• Collaborate with the dental team to uphold high standards of patient care and clinic efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) and X-Ray Certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental setting preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in dental software and computer literacy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• A patient-focused approach with a welcoming and positive attitude.
