Position Purpose

As our Hygiene Coordinator, you will efficiently manage the hygiene department, keeping schedules on track and patients happy, all while contributing to the profitability of our practice.


Key Responsibilities:

Hygiene Scheduling & Patient Care

  • Strategically manage the hygiene schedule to meet daily goals while optimizing efficiency.

  • Confirm and follow up on appointments, using excellent communication skills to minimize cancellations and keep patients on track.

  • Personally greet every patient with a warm, professional demeanor upon arrival.

  • Prepare for and participate in daily huddles to share critical schedule updates, doctor availability, and marketing efforts.

Continuing Care Management

  • Maintain a robust continuing care system with a goal of 95% compliance.

  • Follow up with overdue patients to ensure timely care and scheduling.

  • Use a quick-call system to fill openings and maintain schedule productivity.

Financial Responsibilities

  • Collect time-of-service fees, issue receipts, and provide walk-out statements.

  • Accurately record all financial transactions to ensure transparency and precision.

Administrative Tasks

  • Keep patient records up to date and organized.

  • Manage the Hygiene Case Acceptance form to support treatment compliance.

  • Maintain an organized, professional workspace that reflects our commitment to quality care.

Marketing & Patient Engagement

  • Utilize persuasive verbal skills to encourage patients to accept recommended treatments.

  • Help build strong patient relationships through thoughtful communication and personalized interactions.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Outgoing and personable with excellent phone and communication skills.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Back-office knowledge and front desk experience in a dental setting are required.

  • Proficiency in Eaglesoft software with at least one year of experience.

  • Strong skills in billing, collections, and patient scheduling.

  • Previous dental knowledge is a must; professional training is available to build on your foundation.
