Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 yr college degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new things and adapt to changing environments.
  • A strong work ethic and dedication to consistently high performance.
  • Team player with the ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • The ability to take direction and, in turn, give direction to staff effectively.
  • Effective decision-making skills with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to handle diverse customers and employees.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Point of Sale systems and basic financial management software.
  • Understanding of retail management concepts including margin, inventory management, invoicing, purchase orders, and store accounting procedures.
  • Good time management and prioritization skills to handle multiple tasks.
  • Organizational skills to maintain store logistics and process alignment.
  • Must be able to perform repeated physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.  Must be able to lift at least 65lbs.
  • Usually required to work 49hrs including one day on the weekend.

Preferred:

  • 2yrs Retail Experience
  • Experience dealing with Contractors
  • Bi-Lingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience in Hardware, Paint, Building Materials
  • Merchandising Skills
