JPA Roofing, a leader in the roofing industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This full-time position is integral to the success of our operations and requires a dynamic professional who can manage multiple responsibilities effectively. Please note, this is an on-site position and is not eligible for remote work.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Learn and utilize Xactimate estimating software to create detailed and accurate estimates for roofing projects.
• Send invoices to insurance companies and negotiate to reach final price agreements.
• Communicate with homeowners to explain the details and breakdown of invoices.
• Manage the collections process, ensuring timely payments and follow-ups with clients and insurance companies.
• Maintain accurate records of payments received, and update company financial files using QuickBooks.
• Ensure all roofing projects are registered with appropriate warranties upon the receipt of final payments.
• Collaborate with other team members to optimize billing and collections procedures.

Requirements

• Must be a quick and willing learner, adaptable to new software and company procedures.
• English/Spanish bilingual REQUIRED (must demonstrate very good proficiency in both languages).
• Strong capability to write clearly and spell correctly, crucial for updating files and maintaining understandable record keeping.
• Prefer prior experience in roofing or related field, particularly in roofing collections; candidates with this background will be given preference.
• Possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent; higher education or certifications related to finance or roof estimating considered an asset.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and care.
• Proficiency in using financial software, particularly QuickBooks, and ability to learn new software quickly.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
