In this role, JB Dental Lab is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and driven technician who is meticulous and has exceptional dexterity for the toughest of tasks, producing high-quality crowns and bridges, including implant metal or ceramic types of dental prosthetics.

The ideal candidate will effectively report to the Crown and Bridge (Ceramist) Manager. While not all-encompassing, the technician hired for this position must also be a team player and able to communicate with employees across the business, ensuring JB Dental Lab is producing the highest quality product. Since JB Dental Lab operates in a fast-paced environment, the technician must be able to solve problems independently and able to meet deadlines while maintaining superior quality for every case.  Notably, the technician will be responsible for creating dental prosthetics – this includes crowns, bridges, veneers, inlay, and/or onlay.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the Job (listed in order of importance):

• Read and understand customer prescriptions, work orders, and use of dental lab operational software
• Contour, Composite-based stain & glaze, and finishing
• Acquire any materials that may be needed to complete the case successfully.
• Able to operate with motor handpiece (low & high), set proper temperature to operate porcelain furnace, understand and use specific composite to achieve the successful fabrication process and overall outcome
• Prioritize and complete cases one day prior to the due date, and before the ship date or when the scheduled date arrives - ensure all cases are reviewed by the manager for Quality Control / Assurance upon product completion and prior to shipping
• Be instrumental in the development and growth of products
• Perform tasks encompassing the production of artistic, esthetic, and high-quality restorations
• Proficient in the “start-to-finish" process – in aspects of composite and hybrid restorations
• Communicate with our internal team
• Other duties may be assigned

Skills Required to Perform the Duties of the Job:

• Overall dental technician finishing knowledge
• Advanced knowledge on composite-based hybrid finishing
• Advanced knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques
• Advanced knowledge of safety procedures
• Well-balanced personality and professional attitude
• Keen attention-to-detail
• Dexterity skills
• Industry experience supporting a Dental Office or Lab (3+ years preferred)

Educational / Other Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job:

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Work authorization (Required)
• Denture Lab Certification (Preferred)
• 2-years Experience (Preferred)
