Hallmark is a Halifax based dental lab serving dental clinics and their patients in Atlantic Canada. We are looking to hire an independent and well-organized Production Supervisor to join our small and growing team at our Newfoundland Lab. The Production Supervisor ensures the department functions efficiently with a high standard of excellence while fostering a positive work culture and achieving both operational and financial planned performance. This means ensuring everyone on the team understands their role in time management, the production schedule, quality control, and be trained with the necessary skills to execute their respective workload. 

Production Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Hallmark Production Supervisors are to effectively manage an Operational Scorecard of the department(s) key performance indicators. It is the Production Supervisor's responsibility to understand, populate the data, do a thorough review, make informed improvements based on the Operational Scorecard (in conjunction with the Quality & Technical Specialist) and report both status and improvements monthly. The Production Supervisor must be capable of analyzing data and developing informed growth and improvement plans for their department.
• The Production Supervisor is a supervisor, coach, and a teacher. Guided by the Hallmark Policy Manual, human resource processes, and leadership - the Production Supervisor works with front line employees in all stages of the employee life cycle:

  • Recruitment, interview and selection process

  • Onboarding and training

  • Technician evaluation and development plans

  • Disciplinary and reward processes

Production Supervisor Requirements:

• A business management degree would be useful.
• Management experience is essential
• Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma process is an asset
• Dental knowledge is NOT required.
