Job Description

JKR Windows, a leading provider in the window installation industry, is excited to announce a job opening for a dedicated Window Service Technician. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the satisfaction and safety of our customers by performing necessary repairs and warranty work on various window products. Please note, this is not a remote job, and will require the technician to work onsite and frequently travel out of state.

Offering a competitive annual salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 on a piece-rate basis, we are looking for someone who can deliver exceptional quality in their work and exhibit a high level of professionalism. As a Window Service Technician, you will be interacting directly with our customers and ensuring that all service specifications meet the highest standards of safety and quality.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site inspections and evaluations of windows and related products to determine repair needs.
  • Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of window units and their components ensuring adherence to warranty requirements.
  • Diagnose issues accurately and provide detailed feedback and plans for remediation.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools to install, adjust, or repair window products.
  • Ensure all servicing is done in compliance with the state and federal safety and environmental standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times, including the orderly handling of equipment and supplies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with services provided.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and on time, including service reports and on-site job logs.
  • Travel out of state as required for job assignments, training, or customer needs.
  • Regularly communicate with the home office and other technicians via company-provided communication devices.

Requirements

  • Must have previous handyman experience.
  • Finish carpentry experience preferred, but not required.
  • Window installation experience also preferred, but not required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving history in order to drive company vehicles.
  • Must be willing to travel out of state frequently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the capacity to handle customer service effectively.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects as well as kneel, bend, or climb during working hours.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to adhere to schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and company guidelines.
