Sparkle Pediatric Dentistry, renowned for its dedication to providing exceptional dental care catered exclusively to children, is excited to announce the availability of a full-time position at our clinic. We are seeking a diligent and friendly individual to join our team as a Dental Front Desk officer. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping our young patients' first impressions of dental care, fostering an environment that is both welcoming and professional. Please note that this role is based onsite at our facility and is not eligible for remote work arrangements.

As the front-line representative of Sparkle Pediatric Dentistry, your role will involve direct interaction with our patients and their families, ensuring their visits are smooth, enjoyable, and efficiently managed. In this role, you will have ownership over numerous administrative tasks that require a keen attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greeting patients and their families in a warm and professional manner, making them feel welcome and assisted.
  • Answering phone calls, addressing queries, and scheduling appointments, ensuring communication is clear and precise.
  • Understanding and managing the dentists' schedules to optimize workflow and patient satisfaction.
  • Facilitating effective communication between the dentist and patients, ensuring all parties are informed and prepared for appointments.
  • Handling the submission and follow-up of outstanding insurance claims to secure timely payments.
  • Posting payments received from patients and insurance companies accurately and promptly.
  • Managing the opening and closing procedures of the clinic, ensuring that everything is organized and set for daily operations.
  • Creating and managing payment arrangements with patients, ensuring financial transactions are handled sensitively and professionally.
  • Maintenance of a clean and welcoming office environment, adhering to all hygiene and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a dental front desk or similar administrative role within a healthcare facility.
  • Strong understanding of dental office procedures and patient management systems.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and patients.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • High level of proficiency in using office software including EHR systems, scheduling tools, and billing software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of maintaining a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service, ensuring that patients and their families feel valued and respected.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • A friendly and empathetic approach, particularly important in a pediatric setting.
  • Capability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, busy environment.
  • Experience in handling and resolving complex issues that may arise during the management of front desk activities.
