Brian Daniels DDS PC is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our full-service dental team. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to engage with a supportive community of health professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional dental care. Situated among our state-of-the-art facilities, this is not a remote job – the dynamic role requires onsite presence to provide direct patient care and ensure the highest standards of dental health and aesthetics are achieved.

As a key member of our oral health team, the successful candidate will work closely with dentists and dental assistants to implement personalized and thorough dental care that meets the comprehensive needs of our patients. This role is designed for an enthusiastic individual with a deep commitment to the oral health and overall well-being of our patients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Clean patients' teeth using a variety of tools and techniques to remove plaque, tartar, and stains effectively.
  • Assess oral health conditions, review health history, and plan appropriate treatments.
  • Perform oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments.
  • Apply preventatives such as fluorides and sealants to the teeth.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays).
  • Create impressions of patients’ teeth for study casts (models of teeth).
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling).
  • Counsel patients about plaque control and developing individualized at-home oral hygiene programs.
  • Maintain documentation and charts on each patient.
  • Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
  • Stay current with advancements in dentistry and dental hygiene by attending continuing educational courses and professional publications.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program.
  • Current state license as a Dental Hygienist.
  • Ability to administer local anesthetic agents.
  • Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures.
  • Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques.
  • Experience with digital records and digital radiography.
  • Proficient in using electronic health records and information systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to enhance patient comfort and trust.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Commitment to adhering to regulations and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to work collectively within a multifaceted team of dental professionals.
