Job Description

This position is primarily focused on insect care with the oversight of Team Members. The Production Lead is responsible for the daily care, feeding, and raising of live insects for distribution under the supervision of the General Manager. The Production Lead will assist with accountability, training, and retention of the Production Team Members.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares boxes and materials for daily operations.
• Feeding and watering live insects to ensure their health and productivity.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, compliant with safety standards.
• Performs daily duties with high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
• Paying keen attention to detail in all aspects of production.
• Work independently and as a team player to meet the company's operational goals.
• Performs all responsibilities in a friendly and professional manner, considering co-workers and other staff.
• Utilize leadership skills to manage a small team, ensuring accountability, training, and retention of employees.
• Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by management to meet business needs.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a dusty environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand, squat, kneel, bend, and carry frequently throughout the workday.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to understand and communicate in English effectively.
• Basic numerical skills: ability to count to 100 and perform simple mathematical operations.
• Proficient in using tools like box cutters and tape guns.
• Proven ability to lead a team of 5+ employees, demonstrating strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive experience in employee accountability, training, and retention.

Schedule

Sunday-Thursday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
