The Bug Company is excited to announce a job opening for a dedicated and efficient Pick Packer Assembly Associate. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring that our products are prepared, packed, and shipped accurately and on time to meet the high expectations of our customers. As a Pick Packer Assembly Associate, you will become part of a dynamic team that is at the core of our distribution activities.

We are seeking individuals who are highly organized, attentive, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Please note that this is an on-site position based at our main distribution center, and is not eligible for remote work options. This role demands physical activities including lifting and extensive movement, as well as the handling of live insects as part of the packaging process.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect product quality to ensure items meet The Bug Company’s standards before packaging.
• Accurately pick products from designated locations using picking lists.
• Pack orders securely, ensuring that all items are well-protected during transit.
• Operate and maintain a clean and orderly work area in compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform cycle counts to manage and update stock levels.
• Handle and package live insects with care, adhering to company guidelines and welfare standards.
• Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to achieve daily production goals.
• Report any discrepancies or issues with product quantities or quality to supervisors immediately.
• Utilize box cutters, tape guns, and other tools and machinery required for assembly and packaging tasks efficiently.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a dusty environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand in place, squat, kneel, bend, and carry frequently.
• Ability to problem solve and follow directions.
• Ability to understand and speak English.
• Ability to count to 100 and perform simple math tasks.
• Ability to use a box cutter and tape gun safely and efficiently.
• Ability to perform duties with accuracy, care, and speed.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player.
• Must have attention to detail.
• Must be able to work directly with and handle live insects.

Shift: Sunday- Thursday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

**Hours will fluctuate based on the shipping schedules and company needs**
