Job Description:

The Cow Creek Band of The Umpqua Tribe of Indians is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Archaeologist to join our team. This position is full-time and is not a remote job.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct archaeological surveys and excavations
• Analyze artifacts and historical data
• Interpret findings and prepare reports
• Collaborate with stakeholders and tribal members
• Adhere to cultural heritage preservation guidelines
• Participate in public outreach and educational programs

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Archaeology or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of field experience
• Knowledge of federal and state archaeological laws
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience working with Native American tribes is preferred
