For our busy, fast-paced dental practice, we’re seeking a full-time dental assistant. You’ll assist with patient preparation, sterilization of tools, room setup, etc. You should have a dental x-ray certification and provide excellent patient care to succeed in this position.

Dental assistants should be well-organized and meticulous in their work. You should be able to follow directions and adhere to the rules of the dental practice. We want you to be capable of delivering direct or indirect patient care and ensuring that office procedures run smoothly.

Dental Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers to the dental office

• Prepare customers for treatments, ensuring their comfort

• Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed

• Sterilize instruments according to regulations

• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry

• Undertake lab tasks as instructed

• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions

• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked

• Schedule appointments

• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures

• Making sure medical and dental histories are gathered and recorded

Dental Assistant Requirements:

• Proven experience as a dental assistant (Minimum 1 year in office)

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods

• Understanding of health and safety regulations

• Good computer skills

• Excellent communication and people skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Must be well-organized and reliable

• High school diploma

• Graduate of a dental assistant school is preferred

Hours are Monday - Thursday 7:15am-4:00pm
