Excel/EPI, an industry leader in electrical and power infrastructure, is delighted to announce an open position for a full-time Electrical Supervisor located on-site in Des Moines, IA. This crucial role requires an individual ready to step into a dynamic and critical leadership position within our operational framework. The selected candidate will be playing a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and reliability of our electrical projects. This position is not remote and demands a high level of engagement with on-site teams and projects.
The Electrical Supervisor will be in charge of managing our team of skilled electricians, overseeing the execution and completion of electrical projects, and ensuring adherence to all safety and performance standards. This role requires robust knowledge of electrical systems, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and lead a team effectively under pressure.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the electrical staff and subcontractors.
- Plan, implement and monitor electrical installations and maintenance operations.
- Ensure all electrical projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of systems to ensure optimal operation and safety.
- Manage and procure inventory of necessary supplies and equipment.
- Implement and enforce strict compliance with company and government safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues with effective problem-solving skills.
- Prepare, read, and interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Provide leadership, training, and support to team members to develop their skills and ensure team cohesiveness.
- Advise on and plan for future developments in line with technological advancements in the electrical industry.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all site electrical activities and incidents.
- Collaborate with other departmental heads to ensure company-wide integration and efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor or similar supervisory role.
- Deep understanding of electrical systems, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Ability to read technical documents and blueprints.
- Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
