Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective planning and project control system to support project execution.
  • Monitor and analyze project budget, schedule, and performance data to ensure project deliverables and timelines are met.
  • Identify risks and opportunities associated with project plans and schedules; recommend mitigation strategies or actions.
  • Act as a liaison between project management and project teams, ensuring all sides are aligned with the project objectives and outcomes.
  • Provide detailed reporting and forecasting on project status, variations, and potential impacts on scope and timelines.
  • Utilize software tools for project scheduling, including but not limited to MS Project and Primavera P6.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Assess project performance and aim to maximize ROI and functionality throughout project lifecycles.
  • Prepare and revise project workflow charts to ensure accurate sequence of operations.
  • Participate in project reviews and auditing internally and with clients, which includes highlighting past project successes and learnings for future reference.
  • Ensure all stakeholders have comprehensive, up-to-date information to make timely decisions.
  • Provide training and support to project team members on project control methods, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls in the construction or engineering industries.
  • Deep knowledge of electrical systems and infrastructure, enhancing capability in managing electrical projects.
  • Proven expertise in financial management, scheduling, and project lifecycle management tools.
  • Extensive experience with project management software such as MS Project, Primavera P6, and relevant ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with complex project information to determine risk and opportunity areas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively articulating project details and requirements to all project stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, focusing on crucial aspects like cost accounting, forecasting, and project estimating.
  • Experience in estimating, scheduling, and planning of large-scale projects is mandatory.
  • Solid organizational and multitasking skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Commitment to upholding safety and compliance standards in all project control practices.
  • Professional certifications like PMP, PSP, or any other relevant certifications are highly desirable.
