Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the project control systems and frameworks to monitor project status and milestone achievements.
- Collaborate with project managers and other project stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the project are aligned with the client's needs and expectations.
- Analyze project variances for change order management purposes
- Prepare detailed reports on project status, including both financial and time metrics, and present these reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with both internal and external project specifications, including safety standards.
- Utilize project management software and tools proficiently to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with all team members and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Monitor and report on project costs and forecasts, managing budgets to prevent cost overruns.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of processes and procedures within the project controls department.
Requirements/Preferences
- Proven experience in project controls, particularly within the industrial construction sector.
- Strong background in electrical and instrumentation construction.
- In-depth knowledge of estimating projects and keeping cost within the confines of budget constraints.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and clients.
- Understanding of financial reporting and the ability to interpret financial data to improve project outcomes.
- Strong attention to detail and capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
- Commitment to adhering to local, state, and federal laws and regulations concerning safety and project standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team and foster a collaborative environment.
- Relevant certifications in Project Management are considered an asset (e.g., PMP, CAPM).
- Bachelor's degree not required but preferred.
