Property Manager Assistant

Salary Range:  $12.00 - $16.00 hour

We are hiring a qualified and motivated Assistant Property Manager into our team to support general activities at the property. In this position, you will assist the Property Manager in performing daily administrative and clerical duties. Your responsibilities include scheduling property viewings, inspecting property conditions, overseeing maintenance activities, and identifying, resolving, and reporting problems and issues to the Property Manager.

Your main purpose as an Assistant Property Manager is to provide an exquisite customer service experience to current and potential tenants by answering their questions and making them feel welcomed and comfortable. You will also collect and organize resident files, records, contracts, and payments. Our ideal candidate for this position has excellent communication, customer service, organization, problem-solving, and computer skills.

Property Manager Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist Property Manager in daily operations and activities
  • Build and maintain positive and professional relationships with tenants
  • Inspect property conditions and monitor maintenance activities
  • Communicate and procure professional services, such as plumbers, construction workers, and HVAC professionals
  • Identify and efficiently resolve tenants’ issues, conflicts, concerns, and complaints
  • Collect, maintain, organize, and update resident files and records
  • Design and distribute marketing and promotional materials to attract new clients
  • Provide timely assistance to tenants regarding property-related issues
  • Collect and manage payments, and tenant notices
  • Report problems and issues to the Property Manager
  • Ensure property compliance with relevant laws, standards, and regulations

Property Manager Assistant Requirements:

  • High school diploma or a GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, management, or a similar field a plus
  • Prior working experience in property management or real estate
  • Familiarity with industry standards, laws, and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases, and spreadsheets
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent organization and time management
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Solid knowledge of regional and national real estate laws
