We are excited to announce an opportunity for an Associate Dentist to join our dedicated team. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality dental services within a state-of-the-art facility. Located in the heart of the Tucson (Oro Valley), our clinic is equipped with the latest in dental technology to ensure the utmost in patient care and treatment outcomes. This is a direct, in-person role at our dental practice, emphasizing the need for a hands-on collaborative approach in a dynamic environment.

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Associate Dentist who is committed to providing excellent dental care. The ideal candidate will bring a high level of professionalism and enthusiasm for patient care. This position requires working 2 days per week, offering a balance between professional growth and personal commitments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial oral screenings and assess oral health conditions of patients.
  • Create detailed treatment plans for each patient.
  • Perform dental procedures, such as extractions, crowns, root canals, and filling cavities.
  • Install and fit dental prosthetics, such as bridges, crowns, and dentures.
  • Apply teeth whitening techniques as required.
  • Maintain patient records with strict confidentiality in compliance with healthcare and legal requirements.
  • Offer guidance and advice on maintaining proper oral health and preventative dental care.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in dental research and the latest technologies that improve treatment efficiency and outcomes.
  • Engage with other staff members as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Communicate with dental staff on our team regarding patient treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications as necessary, keeping in line with legal and ethical standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and practices on-site.

Requirements

  • D.D.S. or D.M.D. from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state dental license (or eligible to obtain one) to practice dentistry.
  • Proven experience as a dentist.
  • In-depth understanding of all general dentistry procedures, including diagnosing and treating dental ailments.
  • Excellent understanding of dental hygiene and aseptic techniques.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • High attention to detail with dedication to safety and the well-being of patients.
  • Ability to stay informed about the latest advancements in the dental industry.
  • Experience working with dental technology and software systems.
  • Capable of handling a variety of dental instruments and equipment.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to commit to the part-time schedule of 2 days per week.
