This full-time position is designed for a hands-on professional who excels in roofing, gutter installation, and siding repair tasks. Located in our bustling field operations sector, this role is critical in maintaining the high standards of service and quality that our clients expect and deserve.
The ideal candidate for this position will be physically able and eager to work on various roofing projects, ensuring all installations and repairs are executed flawlessly. Please note, this is an onsite job and remote work options are not available, reflecting the hands-on nature of the duties involved.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect roofs, gutters, and siding to identify any damage or areas needing repair.
- Install new roofing materials with precision, ensuring alignment and security to guard against weather elements.
- Perform repairs on existing roofing, including patching holes, replacing shingles, and reapplying sealants.
- Ensure gutter systems are installed and functioning properly, including downspouts and drainage.
- Coordinate with the project management team to adhere to schedules and client specifications.
- Communicate effectively with clients about the progression of their project and any adjustments needed.
- Maintain a tidy and safe worksite, adhering to all industry and company safety standards.
- Consistently update skills and knowledge in roofing techniques and materials through company-provided training sessions and workshops.
- Handle materials ordering and inventory management to ensure availability of necessary supplies for projects.
- Consult and collaborate with subcontractors and other specialists when complex roofing issues arise.
- Diagnose problems with roofing systems using appropriate tools and expertise to recommend the best solutions.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for each project, outlining procedures, used materials, and work hours.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Roofer, Gutter installer, or in a similar role in the construction or roofing industry.
- Knowledge of different roofing materials and installation techniques is essential.
- Physical ability to regularly lift heavy materials and equipment and work at heights.
- Strong commitment to safety guidelines and the ability to wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between job sites effectively.
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members and clients professionally.
- Availability to work overtime, weekends, or on emergency call-outs as needed.
- Attention to detail and meticulous workmanship to ensure high-quality repair and installation work.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further certification in construction or roofing is a plus.
