HVAC Technician Job Description

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for servicing and repairing HVAC systems. We work with commercial and residential HVAC customers, so you must know how to work with small and large HVAC equipment. You will also be responsible for the service installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty, and emergency repairs.

HVAC Technician Duties & Responsibilities

• Identifying customer’s needs
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment
• Managing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems
• Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services
• Performing repairs and maintenance
• Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers’ requirements

HVAC Technician Requirements

• EPA License
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating
• Working knowledge of boiler systems
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Must be 21 years of age or older with a clean driving record
• Plumbing experience a plus but not required
