Plumber Job Description

Repair/replace water heaters, water lines, gas lines, faucets, shower valves, shut off valves and different kinds of plumbing pipe for sewer and water. 

Repair/replace sump pumps, recirc pumps, backflow devices, leak searches, clear stoppages using machinery and hydro jetting 

Plumber Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose plumbing issues and perform repairs
• Conduct routine inspections on plumbing systems
• Install, maintain, and repair pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in residential and commercial buildings.
• Repair water line leaks and unclogs drains.
• Respond to plumbing emergencies and find quick solutions on the spot
• Follow state laws and regulations during every project. 
• Document your estimations, repairs, and all other taken actions

Plumber Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older with a clean driving record
• Apprenticeship and previous experience in similar positions required
• General knowledge of piping and ventilation systems
• Ability to read technical plans and blueprints
• Ability to use different plumbing tools and equipment
• Attention to detail
• Outstanding interpersonal skills
• Backflow certified a plus but not required
• HVAC experience a plus but not required
