We are seeking – Contract - Senior Healthcare Data Analysts.
We are seeking highly motivated professionals to join our team as Contract - Senior Healthcare Data Analysts supporting short-term projects. On average, our assignments are 90 days in duration working 1-2 days per week. Assignments vary depending on the client’s needs and the project’s scope of work.
As a Contract - Senior Healthcare Data Analyst, you will work closely with our consulting team developing, operating, and evolving analytics, reporting and value-based reimbursement solutions in support of various projects with our clients’ business strategies and operations. Ideal contractors will have expertise working with large healthcare datasets such as medical claims, clinical information, demographic data, and program activity results.
What you may do as a Contractor:
- Perform strategic direction for in-depth analysis of healthcare data to design, develop, and deliver analytic solutions, overseeing work of others as appropriate.
- Evaluate requirements for client projects, developing approaches to solving and building analytic solutions.
- Use Python and other languages to support data science and, in some cases, ML/AI solutions desired by our clients.
- Use SAS Macros or their equivalents to create new variables to be incorporated into analytics.
- Perform and review quality checks on incoming, outgoing, and aggregated data to identify data anomalies.
- Advise internal project teams on influential findings, business insights and trends that allow the team to cohesively articulate project objectives and outcomes to our clients.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
Qualified candidates must possess the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Biostatistics, Engineering, Epidemiology, Statistics, Information Technology, Economics, or a closely related field.
- Experience working with large datasets including healthcare data such as medical claims, clinical information, demographic data, and program activity results.
- Knowledge of industry standards and practices in descriptive/predictive analytics and reporting concepts.
- Knowledge of statistical analyses including clinical and financial risk tracking, trend identification, predictive modeling exercises and opportunity assessments.
- Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills, detail oriented.
- Strong Communications skills for interactions with both internal teams as well as external clients.
- Team oriented with a track record of working well with others to achieve common goals.
- Positive professional attitude with a strong willingness to learn.
- Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Experience with Python and preferred experience in other programming languages, including SAS, SQL, R.
- Experience with machine learning: PySpark, H2O.
Candidates applying for this position must be geographically based in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the United States. The expected pay range for contract assignments is between $100 to $130 per hour, and will vary based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and the specific assignment.
