Our AE Firm serves the Semiconductor industry locally in the Chandler Arizona area. Our projects are related to equipment installation and building modifications with industrial and commercial applications. We offer services in all disciplines of design including architectural, structural, mechanical, process piping, chemical, electrical, I&C and telecom.

 We are looking to fill the role of structural designer in support of our ongoing projects. We are looking for the structural designer to lead projects with the help of their senior engineer. In the best of cases the designer will be experienced and/or a EIT looking to develop into a Professional stamping engineer. The candidate who is hired would create, modify and assist in:

• Construction Documents, This includes creating structural, plans, sections, elevations, and detailing (i.e. connection details for supports, masonry walls, steel platforms, pipe trestles, and racking.)
• Revit/ AutoCAD models containing accurate structural elements to create construction documents from. To be used in model coordination with other disciplines or fabrication prelims.
• Field work as directed by a Senior Engineer
• Performs basic calculations to analyze and design individual building components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
• Post design process: RFI, submittals and per-bid purchasing approvals

The ideal candidate will have:

• The ability to be organized and balance multiple projects in various stages of completion simultaneously.
• Experience working with semiconductor construction is a plus
• A good attitude towards working outside of one’s comfort zone and a willingness to learn new things.

Structural Experience

• Working in a design environment under a A/E or with a architectural firms 1 to 4 years of experience is preferred
• Experience performing field inspections to determine existing conditions
• Experience with concrete and steel design
• Experience working with AISC, ASCE 7, ACI and International Building Codes

 Software Experience

• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD is a required
• Experience with Navisworks is a plus
• Experience working with semiconductor construction is a plus
• Basic core competencies in office computing and office software applications

 This is a full-time, long-term position. Our primary work sites are both in Chandler Arizona and the structural designer position will be based in an office at one of these two locations. Occasional travel between the two sites while on company time may be required.
