Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team in the Dental Hygiene department. This is a full-time position with regular working hours at our location.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing of teeth
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide post-treatment care instructions
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures and surgeries
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform oral cancer screenings
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation when necessary
- Record and maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes
- Assist with accounting tasks, such as processing payments and insurance claims
- Handle administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
- Valid dental hygienist license in the state of Arizona
- X-ray, Local anesthesia, Nitrous oxide, and laser cerified
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a dental hygienist
- Proficient in performing dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing
- Knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health principles, and oral hygiene products
- Familiarity with dental x-rays and radiography techniques
- Ability to use dental software for patient records and treatment planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Availability to work full-time
Salary Range: $40 to $55 per hour
Work Schedule: Full-Time
