We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team.**Position Overview:**As an Pediatric Treatment Coordinator at West Valley Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics, you will play a crucial role in assisting our pediatric providers in providing exceptional care to our pediatric patients. Your primary responsibilities will include working closely with young patients, helping to review recommended dental procedures, including use of Nitrous Oxide, Oral Conscious Sedation, Office-Based Anesthesia , maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and offering a friendly and comforting atmosphere to ensure a positive experience for our young clientele.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience- Schedule and confirm appointments for patients, utilizing medical scheduling systems with Dentrix- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, providing accurate and helpful information- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and friendly demeanor- Knowledge of dental office procedures and terminology is preferred- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulation- Present Recommended Dental Procedures along with estimated patient/parent portions.- Follow-up with unscheduled treatment plans- Submit Prior authorizations to insurance carriers- Knowledge of AHCCCS is preferred- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.- Monitor and track patient progress.- Assist with scheduling and appointment coordination.- Help maintain a welcoming and child-friendly atmosphere in the office.**Qualifications:**- High school diploma or equivalent.- Successful completion of an accredited dental assisting program.- Prior experience working in a pediatric dental or orthodontic practice is preferred.- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and equipment.- Excellent communication skills, especially with children and adolescents.- Empathetic and compassionate nature.- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and sterile environment.- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
