Senior HR Generalist

New Image Dental Laboratory has been a trusted partner to dentists nationwide for over 40 years, providing high-quality dental products and services, including crowns, dentures, and restoring dental implants, and more.

We are seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our team and support a diverse workforce of 80–90 employees, including laboratory technicians and professional office staff. This is a full-time, in-office position located near the Atlanta Airport, with required hours from 8 or 9 AM to 4 or 5 PM.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced HR professional to build and lead the company’s first dedicated HR function. The ideal candidate will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, taking ownership of developing and implementing HR programs and processes from the ground up. Reporting to the CEO and COO and collaborating closely with the Comptroller, this position will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s HR strategy and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Leadership: Own and lead the HR function, developing and implementing strategies that align with business objectives and enhance employee engagement across all levels.
  • HR Centralization: Partner with the executive team and Comptroller to centralize all HR functions, ensuring streamlined processes and efficiency.
  • Benefits & Strategic Planning: Manage benefits programs, including annual reassessment, vendor relationships and ensuring offerings align with company goals and employee needs.
  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with the executive team to assess workforce needs, define job roles, and craft job descriptions. Oversee the entire hiring process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and selection.
  • Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support to managers and employees, facilitating conflict resolution, and ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
  • Performance Management & Development: Design and manage a structured and consistent, well-documented performance review process. Support managers in delivering meaningful feedback to drive employee growth and performance.
  • Employee Engagement & Culture: Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, including surveys, recognition programs, team-building events, and morale-boosting activities.
  • HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, while maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Time & Attendance Management: Oversee time-tracking systems, PTO and leave requests, and time-off policies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • HRIS & Technology Optimization Evaluate HR technology needs and propose solutions to enhance process efficiency, minimize errors, and improve overall HR operations.
  • Internal Communications Develop and distribute company-wide updates, draft employee communications, and manage the employee handbook to ensure clear and consistent messaging.
  • HR Reporting & Analytics Track, analyze, and report on key HR metrics such as turnover rates, employee satisfaction, time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and absenteeism to drive data-informed decision-making.

 

Required skills for an HR generalist:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-7 Years of experience in a generalist HR role, small businesses preferred
  • Experience in OSHA & FDA compliance is a plus, but we are open to training the right candidate.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities to address complex employee issues. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
