The dental hygienist position is responsible for working within a team and assisting the doctors with safe, predictable, and successful surgical treatment for patients.

Responsibilities of Registered Dental Hygienist

• Communicate clearly with patients and all team members

• Have sustained positivity and energy throughout the day

• Is able to self govern and work autonomously, while working well in a team

• Have attention to detail

• Have professionalism

Clinical Skills:

• Conduct root planing in a surgical setting

• Serve periodontal patients with maintenance care and oral hygiene instructions

• Deliver local anesthetic for surgery patients

• Assist the doctor in patient examinations by conducting periodontal charting

• Work well on computers and type fast for charting

• Helping out with sterilization and breaking down rooms when needed

Requirements of Registered Dental Hygienist

• Registered Dental Hygienist License 

• CPR Certification 

Compensation and Benefits

• Wage: $55-65 per hour DOE  

• 90-Day Review and wage assessment, with potential of increase

• 32-34 hour work week

• Health Insurance Benefit at 30 days, all other benefits eligible after 90-day probation

• 40 hours Vacation (Accrued Annually) doubles at year 3 of service

• 5 paid sick pay per year

• 5 paid holidays
