Responsibilities of Dictation Coordinator

• Download and submit dictated audio files to the transcriptionist via email. 

• Review all correspondence/dictation for grammar and accuracy of dental procedures planned and performed. 

• Ensure all correspondence is sent to appropriate dental and medical providers. 

• Maintain accurate contact information for referring dental offices 

• Research and document all insurance plan information for incoming patients

• Communicate with other essential team members to coordinate patient flow

Requirements of Dictation Coordinator

• 1 year of experience in dental or medical administration, transcriptionist or scribe. 

• College credits preferred

• Knowledge of grammar, punctuation, spelling

• Communicates clearly with doctors, insurance carriers and all team members

• Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete tasks in a timely and independent manner

• Skilled in the use of standard office equipment and software including: telephones, computers, and computer software (MS Excel, Word, Adobe, Practice Management software).

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while working remotely. 

Compensation and Benefits 

• Wage: $23-25 per hour DOE

• Bonuses based on performance

• 90-Day Review and wage assessment, with potential of increase

• 36-40 hour work week

• Health Insurance Benefit at 30 days, all other benefits eligible after 90-day probation

• 40 hours Vacation (Accrued Annually) doubles at year 3 of service.

• 24 hours sick pay per year.
