PT- Program support coordinator

Salary Range:  $18 - $21 hour

 

The Program Support Coordinator is responsible for supporting our faith based transitional housing program.  You will help guide women, and children by equipping families in a secure and nurturing environment to learn daily living skills, assisting with program compliance and goals.   As we lead by example, you will affirm a strong walk in the Christian faith and share knowledge and ability to live and love like Jesus.  

This position covers 2 - 12 hours shifts during the weekend (8am-8pm) and 1-2 nights (4pm-8pm) per week.

  • Willing to acknowledge, adhere, and promote Agape’s Embrace core values.
  • Proven leadership skills, preferably a minimum of at least one year of experience in a leadership role for the position.
  • Strong problem solving,  coaching skills required. BH background requested.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with a marginalized population which would include homeless, addicted, or prison reentry.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate activities for three family residents.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and accountability.  You’re their biggest cheerleader!
  • Share the ministry's Christian Core values with residents and volunteers. 
  • Conduct volunteers meet and greets and training.
  • Ensure residents adhere to Agape’s Embrace policies.
  • Ensure families maintain cleanliness in the house and home is safe.
  • Assist residents with financial stability, career development, and personal and spiritual growth.
  • Work with leadership to ensure program compliance, reporting and growth.
  • Share and facilitate daily Christian scripture teaching, Bible study and encourage faith growth and development.
  • Oversee day to day operations of house and program. Interacts daily with public and other agencies.
  • Emotional safety that includes refraining from judgment, providing emotional validation, holding self and families accountable and being able to set and respect boundaries.
  • Able to work independently, as well as with a team.
  • Willing to have difficult conversations with Staff and Families.

 

  • Requirements:
  • Experience working in a nonprofit environment, transitional housing or group home or behavioral housing sector experience a plus.
  • Microsoft Office experience a must
  • Strong communication and computer skills required
  • Organizational, critical thinking skills required
