Job Scope:
The QMS Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with specified standards and managing the quality management system within the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of quality assurance standards, excellent attention to detail, and working collaboratively with various departments to maintain and improve quality processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, improve, and maintain our standards certifications and quality management system.
- Ensure compliance with said standards and regulations.
- Conduct internal audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Create and update quality documentation, including policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Oversee inspecting (examination) incoming materials, ensuring they meet requirements.
- Provide training to employees on quality management principles and requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor key performance indicators related to quality and report findings to management.
- Participate in external audits by regulatory bodies or certification agencies.
- Maintain records of audits, inspections, and other quality-related activities
- Stay informed about industry best practices and advancements in standards.
- Follow all safety rules for departments and the entire facility.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality Management, Engineering)
- Certification as an ISO auditor or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior experience working with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001) in a similar role.
- 3-5 years experience working in a manufacturing setting in a quality assurance role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality management principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Can function as a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
- Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours/day.
- Ability to work seated at a computer.
- Ability to check the quality of products.
- Ability to lift weights to 50 lbs.
